We have developed a number of bespoke courses in the last year that deal with some specialised topics. 

Record Keeping - MAR Charts

We have developed this short course (2.5-3hrs) to help deal with the topic of record keeping with medication. This is to help staff understand the importance of accurate and robust record keeping in line with current legislation and National Guidance.
 

Who is it for?

Ideal for care staff who are responsible for supporting people with their medication and are based in:

- residential care homes,

- care homes with nursing,
- domiciliary care organisations,
- extra-care housing schemes, and
- supported living.

Course Aims 

Help staff understand the Regulations relating to medication records and how to accurately use MAR charts and supporting documents.

 

To enable compliance with Regulators and follow current record-keeping guidance and best practices as recommended by The Royal Pharmaceutical Society and NICE.

Fees & Booking

£400 per session excluding VAT, (No minimum, maximum 16)

Best Interests Course

This half day (4hrs approx) course was developed to help social workers/best interests assessors in the decision making process when collaborating with healthcare professionals. It includes some of the more complex medication topics such as:

- medicines used in Dementia

- "when required" medication protocols

- Covert administration, DoLS

- medicine choices with dysphagia, and

- the use of anti-psychotics

Aimed at Social workers, Best Interests assessors and care managers/team leaders
