Based on our Safe Administration of Medication Foundation course, this comprehensive distance-learning workbook is designed for learners who cannot attend face-to-face training or prefer not to use e-learning.

This comprehensive workbook supports learners who are responsible for handling or administering medicines in care settings.

It is aimed at people who prefer not to use e-learning or who cannot attend face-to-face training.

There are four sections to work through and each has four topics, there are activities to complete throughout the book. At the end of each section there is a quiz to test understanding. Once completed an assessment is taken:

Pass mark: 75%
Certificate valid for two years
Available as a downloadable PDF or printed workbook

Blended Assessing Competency with Medication Administration

Certification: Yes

Based on our face-to-face Assessing Competency in Medication Administration course, this blended option is designed for managers, senior staff and team leaders who have completed foundation medication training and are responsible for assessing staff competency in the workplace.

The course combines self-study with pharmacist-led Microsoft Teams sessions and provides practical tools, structured guidance and case-based learning to support effective workplace competency assessment.

The blended course includes two Microsoft Teams sessions with a pharmacist trainer, supported by structured self-study activities and exercises. Completed work is reviewed as part of the learning process.

The course also covers common competency-assessment challenges, medication errors and ways to improve practice.

Assessing Competency with Medication Administration is ideal for managers, senior staff and team leaders. (Charged per head – maximum of 12 delegates per course).

Fee & Booking Per head: £70 (+ VAT).

Minimum charge: 8 delegates and a maximum group size of 12.
