AIT Accredited Training

Our accredited training will help your staff administer medication safely, minimise medication errors and increase awareness and understanding of medicines. 


At AIT Medihelp we use friendly, approachable pharmacists with considerable experience in the care sector to provide you with professional face-to-face training programmes to suit the needs of your staff no matter where they are based:

Medication Skills for Care - Foundation Level

This very popular course was formerly accredited by the College of Pharmacy Practice. It is now updated and fully accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.


Medication Skills for Care - Foundation Level is ideal for care staff from all settings who are responsible for the administration of medicines.
                       (charged per head - minimum of 8 delegates, maximum of 16).

Competency with Medicines Administration

This interactive workshop is fully accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, as well as structured guidelines on assessing competency of staff administering medicines, the course includes discussion of case studies, and examples of problems such as medication errors and how to avoid them.


Competency with Medicines is ideal for managers, senior staff and team leaders. (charged per head - minimum of 8 delegates, maximum of 15).


Medication Skills for Care - Refresher Course

This half-day course provides a refresher in Medicines administration for staff who have previously attended the full Foundation Course.


Medication Skills for Care - Refresher is ideal for experienced staff

(charged per head - minimum of 8 delegates, maximum of 16).

Specialist Courses

Record Keeping - MAR Charts

This is a short course providing a useful guide to robust record keeping, including MAR charts and supporting documents, in line with National Best Practice and NICE Guidance.


Medication Skills for Care - Record Keeping (MAR Charts) is ideal for all staff who deal with medicines and need to know the rules and regulations governing correct record keeping.

(£400 + VAT per 1/2 day session : no minimum, maximum of 16 delegates.)

Best Interests Course

This is a brand new short course in order to provide guidance and support for staff who may be involved in some of the more complex considerations of medicines management.


Medication Skills for Care - Best Interests Course is ideal for social care staff, best interests assessors and care managers/team leaders


(£400.00 + VAT per 1/2 day session: no minimum, maximum of 16 delegates.)

Bespoke Courses

We can tailor courses to meet your particular requirements based on an assessment with you to ensure we meet your specific needs. 

We have various examples of the types of training courses previously developed to support care providers. We have, for example, recently developed and run bespoke courses for mental healthcare teams, drug & alcohol rehabilitation teams and re-ablement organisations.
